The main purpose of this lab is to contribute increasing productivity and competitiveness of the industry sector amongst the maintenance and quality assurance field; providing technological solutions in machinery diagnosis; as well as their components and equipments; using methodologies of non-destructive assays and predictive and proactive traditional tools and of new development.
Diagnosis Lab by means of non-destructive assays and vibration analysis accomplished the following activities:
• Wave conducted (magneto striction) ultra sound.
• Implantation, running and training for instrumented systems for predictive maintenance.
• Penetrating fluids inspection, thermographs, magnetic particles, industrial and vibration ultra sound.
• Rotary and hydraulic equipment oil analysis.
• Fault Analysis.
• Hydrostatic tests.
• Precision alignment services.
• Analysis of distortion, stress, fluent flow, heat transfer.
CIATEQ manages its own equipment and certified technicians under regulations ASNT NI and NII (SNT TC-1A ANSI/ASNT CP-189) and NAS-410, to carry out non-destructive assays, using the following procedures:
• Industrial ultra sound
• Hydrostatic tests.
• Magnetic Particles.
• Penetrating fluent.
• Visual inspection.
Vibration and Noise Analysis.
ASNT certification of this procedure is recent, but we have personnel qualified by domestic and abroad institutions Level II, by the Vibration Institute.
Oil and Ferrous Analysis in lubrication and cooling fluent.
We have well trained personnel certified by distinguished international institutions, with Level I by ICML (International Council for Machinery Lubrication).
One of the most novel service we offer, is pipeline inspection by magneto striction, which helps to determine in a fast way, failures in great length structures such as:
Pipeline nets, boiler pipes, plates, storage tanks, pressure containers, girders, wires, among others.
This technique uses flexible waves pulse, sent them throughout and along the structure, this is called magneto striction??, which detects reflex signals from structural failures. With just one test point, it is possible to look over 60 cms. length.
It can also detect corrosion, transverse fissures, plus detects and electronically generates waves in ferrous materials. It doesn’t require a connecting mean, is low cost and sustains diverse configuration, frequency and wave mode.
